Spring is just around the corner and there is always something special about this time of year in the north-west. As the days get longer and the sun starts to show it’s face, many of us feel ready for a fresh start. If you are thinking about moving home, spring might be the perfect time to do it.
Why is Spring the perfect time to move?
The property market has a habit of coming alive in spring. Gardens look their best, homes feel brighter and more properties come up for sale. Estate agents say they are usually much busier with viewings once March rolls around, as buyers shake off the winter blues and start house hunting in earnest.
Many families choose spring to move because it gives them plenty of time to settle in before the new school year starts in September. It’s also when lots of people get their work bonuses and sort out their finances after the tax year ends in April – handy for covering those moving costs!
The Weather Factor
The spring weather can be a real help when you are moving. As goldilocks says it’s not to hot or too cold (in theory) , which makes all the heavy lifting much easier. The longer days mean you are not racing against the sun to get everything finished. Just keep one eye open for the famous April showers. You will want to have some waterproofs on standby just in case, it is still England after all!
The Planning
Moving in spring does need a bit of planning. Here’s what helps:
- Book with us early as we can get busy
- Check the weather forecast when choosing your moving day
- Use any spring-cleaning impulses to declutter as you pack
Getting Organised
A bit of preparation goes a long way. Make a list of what needs doing and when. Think about what needs special protection from spring showers. Flexi Removals know how to handle spring moves so we are here to help with any questions you may have.
